Chessolve is a browser extension that provides chess position analysis and related chess-assistance functionality on supported chess websites, including Chess.com, Lichess, and TakeTakeTake.

Depending on the selected features and subscription level, Chessolve may provide position evaluations, suggested moves, alternative analysis lines, move analysis, configurable chess engines and analysis settings, on-board suggestions, usage statistics, and Premium functionality.

To provide these features, Chessolve processes certain chess-related information from supported websites as well as information associated with a user's Chessolve account.

Chessolve processes information only where reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and operate its disclosed functionality.

2.1 Account Information

When you create or use a Chessolve account, Chessolve may process:

• your email address;
• an internal Chessolve user identifier;
• account creation information;
• account status;
• subscription status;
• Premium subscription expiration information;
• information required to associate an authenticated session with your Chessolve account.

Your email address is used for account authentication, essential account-related communication, security, service operation, and support.

Chessolve does not require users to create a traditional password.

2.2 Authentication Information

Chessolve uses one-time verification codes and authentication or session credentials to authenticate users.

Chessolve may process:

• one-time authentication codes;
• authentication tokens;
• session tokens;
• session identifiers;
• authentication timestamps;
• information necessary to maintain and secure authenticated sessions.

One-time verification codes are used only for authentication purposes and expire after a limited period or after successful use.

Authentication information is not sold, used for advertising, or publicly disclosed.

2.3 Chess Positions and Website Content

Chessolve operates on supported chess websites, including Chess.com, Lichess, and TakeTakeTake.

To provide chess analysis and related functionality, the extension may read chess-related information displayed or represented on supported pages.

This information may include:

• the current chessboard position;
• FEN or another representation of the current position;
• moves associated with the current position or game;
• whose turn it is;
• move number;
• information necessary to detect changes to the chessboard;
• information required to identify a supported game, puzzle, analysis board, or other chess context.

This information may be processed locally by the browser extension and may also be transmitted to Chessolve backend services where server-side processing is required to provide chess-engine analysis or another Chessolve feature.

Chessolve does not intentionally collect unrelated website content such as private messages, chat conversations, passwords entered into third-party websites, unrelated form entries, or other content that is not required for Chessolve functionality.

2.4 Chess Analysis Information

When Chessolve analysis functionality is used, Chessolve may process:

• the current chess position;
• selected chess engine;
• selected analysis depth;
• selected number of analysis lines;
• analysis configuration;
• generated position evaluation;
• suggested moves;
• alternative moves and analysis lines;
• move-quality information;
• information necessary to update the analysis when a chess position changes.

Analysis information may be processed by Chessolve backend services.

Chess positions and analysis results may also be cached locally in the user's browser in order to improve performance and reduce unnecessary repeated analysis requests.

2.5 Chessolve Usage Statistics

Chessolve may process limited information associated specifically with the use of Chessolve functionality in order to provide account statistics and enforce usage limits.

This may include:

• number of analysis requests;
• remaining analysis requests;
• timestamps associated with Chessolve analysis requests;
• best-move statistics;
• best-move streaks;
• monthly Chessolve analysis activity;
• information necessary to calculate statistics displayed in the user's Chessolve profile.

This information relates specifically to Chessolve functionality.

Chessolve does not use this functionality to monitor or record general browser interactions such as mouse movements, arbitrary clicks, page scrolling, or keystrokes.

Chessolve usage statistics are not used for personalized advertising or unrelated behavioral profiling.

2.6 Browsing-Related Information on Supported Websites

Chessolve may process the URL or page context of supported Chess.com, Lichess, and TakeTakeTake pages where necessary to determine which supported game, puzzle, position, or analysis context is currently active.

Chessolve does not collect or maintain a general history of websites visited by the user and does not continuously monitor unrelated browsing activity.

2.7 Current Page URL During Payment

When a user initiates a Chessolve Premium payment, Chessolve reads the URL of the currently active browser tab.

The current page URL is used solely as a return destination so that the user can be redirected back to the same page after checkout succeeds, fails, is cancelled, or otherwise ends.

The payment return URL is sent from the extension to the Chessolve backend through the Chessolve payment initialization API.

The Chessolve backend then provides the return URL to the payment provider selected by the user, currently RollyPay or 2328, so that the payment provider can redirect the user back after the checkout flow is completed.

Chessolve does not persist the payment return URL in its application database.

The payment return URL is not used to:

• create or maintain a general browsing history;
• continuously monitor browsing activity;
• track users across unrelated websites;
• create advertising or behavioral profiles;
• provide personalized advertising;
• sell browsing information.

The URL is processed only as necessary to initialize the user-requested payment and complete the checkout return flow.

2.8 Local Browser Storage

Chessolve uses browser storage APIs to save information required for extension functionality and user preferences.

Locally stored information may include:

• Chessolve settings;
• selected chess engine;
• analysis depth;
• selected number of analysis lines;
• interface configuration;
• theme preferences;
• feature settings;
• cached chess positions;
• cached chess analysis results;
• temporary extension state;
• other configuration required to operate Chessolve.

Local browser storage is used to preserve settings between browser sessions, improve performance, and reduce unnecessary repeated requests to Chessolve backend services.

Where the browser's unlimitedStorage permission is used, it is used to support Chessolve's local analysis cache, which may contain chess positions, engine evaluations, and multiple analysis lines accumulated during extended use.

Locally stored information is not used for advertising or unrelated tracking.

Local information may remain in the browser until it is cleared, overwritten, removed by Chessolve, removed by the browser, or removed when the extension is uninstalled, depending on browser behavior.

2.9 Payment and Subscription Information

Chessolve offers optional paid Premium functionality.

Payments are currently processed using:

• RollyPay for supported payment methods; and
• 2328 for supported cryptocurrency payments.

Chessolve may process or store limited payment and transaction information necessary to create, verify, manage, or reconcile a Premium subscription.

This information may include:

• payment or transaction identifier;
• selected payment provider;
• payment status;
• payment amount;
• payment currency;
• subscription status;
• subscription activation date;
• subscription expiration date;
• information necessary to process refunds, resolve payment disputes, prevent fraud, or verify a completed payment.

Chessolve does not collect full payment-card numbers, card security codes, online-banking passwords, cryptocurrency private keys, or similar sensitive payment credentials through the Chessolve extension.

Payment credentials entered directly on the payment provider's checkout page are processed by the selected payment provider according to that provider's own privacy policy and terms.

Chessolve does not sell payment information and does not use payment information for advertising or determining creditworthiness.

2.10 Technical and Diagnostic Information

Chessolve may process limited technical information generated while using the service where necessary to operate, secure, or troubleshoot Chessolve.

Depending on the applicable feature, this may include:

• request timestamps;
• browser or User-Agent information;
• Chessolve extension version;
• request metadata;
• authentication events;
• application errors;
• diagnostic information;
• security-related events.

Chessolve does not intentionally collect, retain, or use users' IP addresses for location tracking, analytics, advertising, or profiling.

Technical information is used only where reasonably necessary for operating Chessolve, diagnosing technical problems, preventing abuse, maintaining reliability, and protecting Chessolve services.

Chessolve uses the information described in this Privacy Policy only where reasonably necessary to provide its disclosed functionality or directly related operational purposes.

Information may be used to:

• authenticate users;
• create and maintain Chessolve accounts;
• maintain authenticated sessions;
• deliver one-time authentication codes;
• detect chess positions on supported websites;
• detect relevant changes to chess positions;
• provide chess-engine analysis;

• manage subscriptions;
• return users to their previous page after checkout;
• preserve extension preferences;
• cache analysis results;
• improve performance and reliability;
• diagnose errors;
• prevent fraud and abuse;
• protect Chessolve accounts and infrastructure;
• provide customer support;
• comply with applicable legal requirements.

Chessolve does not use user information for purposes unrelated to Chessolve's disclosed functionality.

Chessolve requests browser permissions only where they are necessary for existing Chessolve functionality.

Storage Permission

The storage permission is used to store Chessolve settings, user preferences, locally cached chess positions, cached analysis results, and other local extension state required by Chessolve.

Unlimited Storage Permission

The unlimitedStorage permission is used to support Chessolve's local analysis cache where accumulated chess positions, engine evaluations, multiple analysis lines, and associated cached data may exceed the browser's standard local storage quota during extended use.

Tabs Permission

The tabs permission is used as part of the user-initiated Chessolve Premium payment flow.

When checkout is initiated, Chessolve reads the URL of the currently active browser tab and sends it to the Chessolve backend as the payment return URL.

The Chessolve backend provides that return URL to the selected payment provider, RollyPay or 2328, so that the user can be redirected back to the same page after the checkout process succeeds, fails, or is cancelled.

The return URL is not persisted in the Chessolve application database.

Chessolve does not use the tabs permission to continuously monitor browsing activity, create a general browsing history, inspect unrelated browsing for analytics, or track users for advertising purposes.

Chessolve Backend Access

Chessolve communicates with its own backend API at chessolve.com in order to provide functionality including account authentication, chess analysis, account information, request limits, statistics, Premium subscription status, and payment initialization.

Supported Chess Websites

Chessolve content scripts operate on:

• Chess.com;
• Lichess;
• TakeTakeTake.

Access to these websites is used to identify and process chess positions, detect relevant board changes, and display Chessolve's user-facing functionality on supported pages.

Chessolve does not use this access to monitor unrelated websites.

Chessolve relies on a limited number of service providers necessary to operate its functionality.

5.1 Shinomiya Hosting

Chessolve backend infrastructure is hosted using Shinomiya Hosting.

Information transmitted to Chessolve backend services is therefore processed using server infrastructure provided by Shinomiya Hosting to the extent necessary to host and operate Chessolve.

5.2 MongoDB

Chessolve uses MongoDB as its application database.

The MongoDB database is self-hosted on Chessolve server infrastructure and is not operated as an externally managed MongoDB cloud database service.

The database is used to store information required for Chessolve accounts, authentication, subscriptions, statistics, payment records, and other Chessolve functionality.

Using the self-hosted MongoDB software does not by itself transfer Chessolve database content to MongoDB Inc.

5.3 Timeweb

Chessolve uses Timeweb SMTP services to deliver transactional email.

When Chessolve sends a one-time authentication code or another essential account-related email, information necessary to deliver that email may be processed by Timeweb.

This may include:

• the recipient's email address;
• message-delivery information;
• the transactional message necessary to provide authentication or another account function.

Chessolve does not provide this information to Timeweb for advertising purposes.

5.4 RollyPay

Chessolve uses RollyPay to process supported payments.

When the user selects RollyPay, Chessolve may provide information required to initiate and complete the payment, including:

• transaction-related information;
• payment amount and currency where required;
• information required to identify the Chessolve transaction;
• the payment return URL required to redirect the user back after checkout.

Payment information entered directly on RollyPay's checkout service is processed by RollyPay according to its own privacy policy and terms.

RollyPay itself states that its service processes payment identifiers/statuses and technical/payment information in connection with its payment services.

5.5 2328

Chessolve uses 2328 to process supported cryptocurrency payments.

When the user selects 2328, Chessolve may provide information required to initialize and confirm the payment, including:

• transaction-related information;
• payment amount or cryptocurrency-payment information where required;
• information required to identify the Chessolve transaction;
• the payment return URL required to redirect the user back after checkout.

Information entered or generated directly as part of the 2328 checkout flow is processed by 2328 according to its own privacy practices and terms.

2328 publicly describes its service as infrastructure for accepting and processing cryptocurrency payments.

Chessolve does not sell or rent user information.

Chessolve does not transfer user information to advertising networks, data brokers, or other parties for personalized advertising or unrelated profiling.

Chessolve may transfer user information only where reasonably necessary to provide Chessolve functionality, including:

• to Shinomiya Hosting for backend infrastructure;
• to Timeweb for transactional email delivery;
• to RollyPay for applicable payment processing and checkout redirection;
• to 2328 for applicable cryptocurrency payment processing and checkout redirection.

Chessolve may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, respond to security incidents, prevent unauthorized access, or protect the rights and safety of Chessolve and its users.

Chessolve's use of information received through browser extension permissions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information obtained through extension permissions is used only to provide or improve Chessolve's disclosed single purpose and user-facing functionality, or for directly related operational purposes such as maintaining, securing, and ensuring the reliability of those features.

Chessolve does not use or transfer information obtained through browser extension permissions for:

• personalized advertising;
• retargeting;
• interest-based advertising;
• data brokerage;
• unrelated behavioral profiling;
• determining creditworthiness;
• lending purposes;
• purposes unrelated to Chessolve's disclosed functionality.

Chessolve does not allow humans to access user data except where the user has explicitly consented to access specific information for support, access is necessary for security or abuse investigation, access is required by applicable law, or the information has been aggregated and anonymized for legitimate internal operations.

Google specifically requires extensions handling user data to publish a Limited Use statement and restrict transfers and use to the extension's disclosed purpose and narrowly defined exceptions.

Chessolve does not sell personal information.

Chessolve does not sell browsing information.

Chessolve does not sell chess positions or chess-related information.

Chessolve does not provide user information to data brokers.

Chessolve does not use user information for personalized, interest-based, or retargeted advertising.

Chessolve does not transfer user information to advertising networks.

Chessolve does not use payment information to determine creditworthiness or eligibility for lending.

Chessolve account, authentication, subscription, statistics, payment, and service information may be stored in the self-hosted MongoDB database running on Chessolve server infrastructure hosted by Shinomiya Hosting.

Extension preferences, cached chess positions, cached analysis results, and temporary extension state may be stored locally in the user's browser.

Payment providers process information associated with their respective checkout systems.

Transactional email information may be processed by Timeweb where necessary to deliver authentication and account-related messages.

The payment return URL is transmitted through the Chessolve backend to the selected payment provider but is not persisted in the Chessolve application database.

Chessolve uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect user information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.

User information transmitted between the Chessolve browser extension and Chessolve backend services is transmitted through encrypted HTTPS connections.

Authentication credentials and payment-related information are not publicly disclosed.

Access to Chessolve backend systems and stored information is restricted to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and support Chessolve.

No Internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, but Chessolve takes reasonable precautions appropriate to the information being processed.

Chrome Web Store requires extensions handling user data to transmit that information securely.

Chessolve retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, meet applicable legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service against fraud or abuse.

Account information may be retained while the Chessolve account remains active.

One-time authentication codes are retained only for the period necessary to complete authentication and expire after a limited period or successful use.

Authentication and session information may be retained for as long as necessary to maintain and secure the relevant session.

Chess positions and analysis information may be cached where necessary to provide Chessolve functionality, improve performance, or avoid unnecessary repeated engine computation.

Chessolve usage statistics may be retained where necessary to provide account statistics and enforce analysis request limits.

Payment and subscription records may be retained where necessary for subscription administration, accounting, refunds, chargebacks, payment disputes, fraud prevention, security, or applicable legal obligations.

The payment return URL is not persisted in the Chessolve application database and is processed only for the user-initiated checkout and redirect flow.

Technical and security information may be retained for a limited period where reasonably necessary for troubleshooting, security, abuse prevention, or service reliability.

Locally stored extension information may remain in the browser until it is cleared, overwritten, removed by Chessolve, removed by the browser, or removed when the extension is uninstalled.

Users may request deletion of their Chessolve account and associated personal information.

Requests may be submitted using the contact information provided below.

After a valid request is received and, where necessary, verified, Chessolve will delete or anonymize personal information that is no longer required.

Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary or required for:

• legal compliance;
• accounting obligations;
• payment disputes;
• refunds or chargebacks;
• fraud prevention;
• security investigations;
• establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Information stored locally by the extension may also be removed by clearing Chessolve extension data or uninstalling Chessolve, subject to the browser's storage behavior.

Depending on the user's jurisdiction, applicable privacy law may provide rights concerning personal information.

These rights may include the right to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of personal information, restriction of certain processing, objection to certain processing, or information about how personal information is processed.

Chessolve may need to verify the identity of the requester before fulfilling certain privacy requests.

Chessolve and the service providers necessary to operate Chessolve may process information in countries other than the user's country of residence.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards may apply to international processing or transfers of personal information.

Chessolve does not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where doing so would violate applicable law.

If Chessolve becomes aware that personal information relating to a child has been collected contrary to applicable legal requirements, reasonable steps will be taken to delete or otherwise appropriately handle that information.

Chessolve operates in connection with third-party websites and services, including Chess.com, Lichess, TakeTakeTake, RollyPay, and 2328.

Those services operate independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies.

This Privacy Policy governs information processed by Chessolve and does not govern information independently collected by those third-party services.

Chessolve may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to functionality, browser permissions, infrastructure, service providers, legal requirements, or data-processing practices.
